Network Marketing Success
What Does It Really Take?

Did you know that network marketing success only comes to 3% of those who start out with a network marketing business?

That's right. Ninety-seven percent (97%) of those who try a network marketing business fail.

Why?

Of course, there are many reasons. The number one reason is that most new network marketers are not prepared for the work that is involved. They fall victim to the get-rich-quick claims and then they become discouraged when they don't get rich right away. They are discouraged when the product or service they are selling doesn't "sell itself" as they have been told.

Other reasons for failure include:

  • Lack of training. Just about all network marketing companies offer training opportunitiesdesigned to help their new recruits find network marketing success quickly. Some come in the form of workshops or online courses. Others are based on individual training and coaching provided by upline sponsors. In many cases the system breaks down and the new recruit doesn't get the training either because the upline is too busy to provide it or the new recruit simply does not take advantage of it. I am involved with one organization that provides a huge amount of online training. It really is fantastic, yet I know some new distributors who simply will not watch the online tutorials - and they wonder why they are struggling with the company.

  • Lack of perseverance. Some people just don't stick with anything. They jump from idea to idea and opportunity to opportunity. They abandon a company before they have really given it a chance and the they say that company is no good. It makes no sense, but there are hundreds of thousands of people in this category.

  • Lack of confidence. Sales is not for everybody. Some people just are not comfortable talking with other people. You can help with some training, and most good mlm companies have tools to help shy folks do well, but if you don't have confidence in your company, your products, and most importantly, yourself, you won't succeed.

  • Misunderstanding the structure of network marketing organizations. Some people think you can get rich just by selling your companies product. You can't. Don't get me wrong. You may be able to make a nice supplementary income from selling the product, and maybe that's all you were looking for. In that case, you can find "success" through sales alone. But network marketing companies are set up to reward those who build large organizations of affiliates (or distributors, or whatever your company calls them). A large portion of your income comes from the efforts and your downline organization, and sometimes from additional company bonuses generated by having a successful organization. You will not be in the 3% of those who really enjoy network marketing success unless you build a large organization.

  • Not wanting to prospect family and friends. Traditional network marketing prospecting techniques call for new recruits to use their social capital to build an organization. You know what I'm talking about. Your upline tells you to make a list of everyone you know. Then you are encouraged to offer the opportunity to everyone on that list. Most network marketing companies do not understand why a person would not want to use their social capital in that way. They chalk it up to you lack of willingness to "do the work" when, in reality, you have worked for years to build relationships and trust with people you care about and jeopardizing that to sell a business opportunity is not appealing.

Thre's a new FREE e-book that thoroughly explains why many new network marketers fail. It's called The 7 Great Lies of Networking Marketing. It explains why neetwork marketing success is so elusive for so many - and it points the way to a new way of doing things.

So, how can the average person find network marketing success?

There are two things you can do:

1. Take a look at the list above and be determined not to fall into any of those categories. Take advantage of every training opportunity. If your upline isn't coaching you well, find someone who will. Devote lots of time to your business. Track your efforts. Get into action and stay in action. Follow directions. Make a list of everyone you know and pitch your opportunity to everyone on that list. Don't expect overnight success. Focus on building a large organization under you more than on product sales (but don't forget about product sales).

2. Do it differently. Acknowledge that there are ways to succeed at network marketing that your upline doesn't know about. There may be methods that are better suited to your style and personality. Investigate those. It can't hurt to have an open mind and look into approaches that have worked for others.

You know that there has been a dramatic shift in the way people communicate, right? While the personal touch is still very important, the Internet has made a huge difference in how we connect with other people. The famous network marketing "three foot rule" takes on a whole new meaning when you realize that you are actually within three feet of anyone with a computer.

Ann Sieg, author of the book The Renegade Network Marketer has experienced the same frustration that many new network marketers have experienced with traditional prospecting methods, and she developed a system that takes advantage of modern tools that anyone can use to build network marketing success. It's not a get rich quick scheme - just some real tools and concepts that can help you become part of the 3% that succeed - and maybe even dramatically increasing that success rate overall from 3% to 10% or more.

You owe it to yourself to take a look. Just click on the graphic below to learn more.

The Renegade Network Marketer

When I first read Ann's book, I was so captivated by the ideas she shares, that I stayed up until 3:00 a.m. because I couldn't put it down! I have done a lot of reading about network marketing success strategies, and I was amazed at how many of the strategies in the book were completely new to me. I believe there is incredible potential for great earnings in building a home-based business using a network marketing approach - and now network marketing success is more accessible to everyone.
