Setting Up a Blog with
Blogger

When you are looking for a platform to present your information, products, views or reflections, it would be harder to find a more handy tool than Blogger. With Blogger, you'll be able to have access to your own site where you can update as often as you like with as much information as you care to put up.

People are using Blogger for everything from political promotion to product recommendation and if you have something that you would like to present to the world, Blogger just might be the way to do it With Blogger, you will not only be able to post up content that you have created, you will also be able to get comments on what you have posted and respond back to them. It is this communication that makes Blogger so unique and so attractive.

Getting started with Blogger is one of the easier things to do. It is fairly straightforward, and all you need to get started is an internet connection.

Start by heading to Blogger and clicking the orange arrow labeled, “Create a Blog Now.”

On the next screen, you will be instructed to fill in your email and your name.

You will also need to fill in your display name, which is the name that people will see when they access your blog.

Click to accept the terms of use and chose “Continue.”

On the next screen, first fill in your blog title, which will appear on your dashboard, on your profile and on your published blog.

You will then need to choose a URL for your blog; essentially you will need to create a designation for your blog. You will be filling in the blank on “blank.blogspot.com” You may need to try a few times before you find a blog that is available.

You can direct your own domain to your Blogger site, too, if you choose.

Then you will be able to continue to choose the template for your blog. Though you will find that there are many choose from, you will still be able to customize it more at a later date, should you choose to do so.

Select the template that you are interested in. You will find that you can page through the templates and find the ones that are most attractive to you. This is still something that you can edit at a later date, so remember that you are not stuck with what you have chosen.

After you select your template, your blog will be created and you will be take directly to your posting page.

After your blog is created, all you need to do is to start posting. You will find that you can post observations, links to interesting media, images and much more. Whether you intend for your blog to be recreational, geared towards entertaining or geared towards education, you can get off to an excellent start. Make sure that your friends and contacts know about your blog and do your best to encourage discourse and conversation.
