ProBlogger: Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income

This is a book review of ProBlogger: Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income by Darren Rowse and Chris Garrett.

Darren Rowse is the author and operator of ProBlogger.net and Chris Garrett writes for a variety of blogs, including his own (chrisg.com). Both have earned six-figure incomes from their blogging and they provide information in their book to help you learn how to do it, too.

The book is divided into ten very interesting and easy-to-read chapters - Blogging for Money, Niche Blogging, Setting Up Your Blog, Blog Writing, Blog Income and Earning Strategies, Buying and Selling Blogs, Blog networks, Blog Promotion and Marketing, Secrets of Successful Blogs, and Creating Something Worthwhile.

If you are a fan of ProBlogger.net, as I am, you will recognize the writing style and some of the tips, but the comprehensive approach described in the book can't be found on Darren's and Chris' blog sites alone.

The book is filled with great examples of the different strategies and tips suggested, and I thoroughly enjoyed going to the websites mentioned in the book and seeing the real life application of the suggested strategies.

Clearly, the book is intended for beginning and intermediate bloggers; however, there are suggestions that are useful for bloggers of all skill and experience levels. The screen shots and illustrations are excellent, and the "Blog Tip" boxes are also very helpful.

Scattered throughout the book are text boxes with exercises to help you apply the tips and suggestions in a focused manner, making the book useful as a text book or study guide as well as a reference guide.

If you're interested in exploring blogging as an income strategy, or if you already blog and you'd like to fine tune your skills or develop some additional income streams, I highly recommend this book.
